A beaded pendant light that draws a narrow line down the ceiling

Six metal beads stack into a tight column, wide at the middle and pinched at each joint, before ending in a glass globe that hangs on its own. This beaded pendant light holds its whole presence in eight centimetres of width, claiming the vertical rather than the room, where a shade would already be too much.

Six turned beads, two finishes

The column is turned metal, lacquered or polished. In matte black it absorbs the light and cuts a clean silhouette against a pale wall; in polished chrome it does the reverse, holding a stretched reflection of the room in the curve of every bead. Below the last bead sits a cylindrical socket in the same finish, and a black cable rises to a round ceiling plate. The column runs 55 cm from the top bead to the base of the globe, and 8 cm at its widest.

A choice of globe, a low glow

The opal globe gives a round, even light with no hot spot, comfortable at eye level. The half-mirror globe is silvered on its lower half and clear above, filament visible: the mirror throws the light upward and removes any direct glare, which suits a bedside table or a desk well. The LED bulb is included, in warm white 3000K for a bedroom or an evening living room, or cool white 6000K for a worktop or desk corner. One source, 249 to 2000 lumens, lighting 5 to 10 m².

Mounting, and what arrives in the box

The round ceiling plate fixes to an existing light point, and the black cable shortens to whatever height you need: low over a bedside table or console, higher in a living room corner. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains without an adapter. This model does not work with a dimmer. Two side by side, one black and one chrome, sit together without repeating each other.
