Set on a nightstand or a console table, this crystal bedside lamp catches the light in the room before it is even switched on. Cut from genuine K9 crystal, each facet throws off small, delicate flashes, a quiet promise of the glow to come once evening falls.

Genuine K9 crystal, five silhouettes

Every piece in the Malna range is cut from real K9 crystal, polished to multiply the play of light. The Spindle tapers to a faceted point on a ridged cylindrical base; the Cubes column alternates solid crystal blocks with thin square plates on a double square base; the Spheres versions stack graduated crystal balls on a lobed, flower-shaped foot, in 56 or 80 centimetre heights. Every model sits on a polished chrome mount, topped with a finely woven fabric shade in natural linen or white.

A downward glow that catches every facet

Once lit, the light is directed down and filtered gently through the fabric shade, an enveloping halo rather than a direct beam. As evening sets in, each crystal facet catches this light and reflects it back in small, discreet flashes, a detail that animates a bedroom, a living room or an office. Set in a pair, either side of the bed or at each end of a sideboard, for a light that frames the room symmetrically.

An E27 fitting and a simple touch switch

Each lamp plugs into a standard socket and takes an E27 bulb, not included, ideally a 6 to 10W LED, compatible with 90 to 260V. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains. The touch switch turns it on and off in one gesture, with no complicated wiring. The Spindle stands 56 centimetres tall with a 30cm shade, the Cubes column reaches 68 centimetres with a 32cm square shade, the Spheres version stands 60 centimetres with a 34cm shade, and the Spheres XL reaches 80 centimetres with a 40cm shade, lighting a room of 15 to 30 m².
