A disc pendant light that lays a pool of light on the table

A very thin disc, almost a saucer, held by a single black cable. This disc pendant light isn't trying to be seen, it's there to light. Its opaline underside spreads a soft sheet of light with no hard shadow, and a small black cup hanging at its centre hides the source so nothing glares at eye level.

A flat disc, one cable, nothing else

The shade is painted metal, in a wood-effect finish with a pale grain or in deep matte black, closed beneath an opal acrylic panel. At the centre, a black cup held on a short brass rod floats just under the diffuser. Three diameters, 35 cm, 45 cm and 60 cm, for a total height of 150 cm that you adjust at installation. Near the ceiling, the cable loops back on itself and hooks into place, a deliberate detail that gives the whole piece its line.

Four light colours, one to choose

The tone is chosen at checkout: warm white 3000K for an evening table, neutral white 4000K for an open kitchen, cool white 6000K for a worktop, or the three-tone switchable version that combines all three. Output runs from 249 to 2000 lumens depending on diameter, for a room of 5 to 15 m². Above a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk, the light falls as a broad sheet rather than a beam.

What to know before fitting

The LED is integrated: no bulb to buy, no fitting to check, 8 W on the 35 cm, 10 W on the 45 cm and 18 W on the 60 cm. It runs on 90 to 260 V, wired for UK 230 V mains, and connects to the ceiling on a round plate over an existing wiring point. Brightness is fixed, not dimmable. Allow around 75 cm between the tabletop and the edge of the disc to keep the source out of view.
