A fabric cone pendant light that sets the light on the table, and nothing else

A canvas cone with straight sides, a thin rod dropping below the hem and ending in a still golden ball, like a plumb line. This fabric cone pendant light doesn't try to fill the room: it lights the tablecloth, the hands, the faces, and leaves the rest of the evening in a warm dimness.

A canvas cone, a ball in balance

The shade is a woven canvas cone with perfectly straight sides, no pleats or gathers: Ø 30 cm at the opening, Ø 20 cm at the top. Below the hem, a thin brass finish rod drops down and carries a brushed ball in the same tone. The whole piece measures 45 cm in height, from the top of the shade to the bottom of the ball, cord excluded. Two canvases to choose from: Ecru, with a fine, regular weave, and Natural Beige, more rustic and textured.

A light that falls, a glow that stays

The canvas does the work: it keeps the main beam for what's below, where it's useful, and lets only a soft glow filter onto the walls. The low opening casts a clear pool of light on the table, never a general room light. You choose the tone of the bulb supplied: Warm White 3000K for dinner and the bedroom, Neutral White 4500K for a kitchen dining corner, Cool White 6000K for a worktop. It suits a room of 5 to 10 square metres: above a table, an island, a stretch of counter or a bedside. In the centre of a large sitting room, several will be needed.

Fits like any pendant light

An E27 socket and bulb included in the chosen tone: nothing to buy on delivery day. It connects at the ceiling, via the textile cord, onto a standard cable outlet, just like any pendant. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains. The light is not dimmable: do not pair it with a wall dimmer, the bulb supplied isn't built for it. The pendant is light in weight, a plasterboard ceiling is enough with a suitable fixing.
