A floor reading lamp that brings the light to you

One movement is enough. The arm unfolds, the shade tilts, and the light lands exactly on the open page. This floor reading lamp borrows its silhouette from old workshop lamps, exposed springs and bold lacquer, to sit beside an armchair, a bed or a desk.

A weighted round base of 28 cm, a straight stem, then two parallel-bar arms held in tension by coiled springs. The whole piece is lacquered iron, in a bold, confident colour that holds its own in a bright room: yellow, red, black, silver, white, or the tricolour version pairing a red arm, a yellow shade and a blue base. Arm extended, the lamp reaches 190 cm and projects 52 cm forward.

A light you place exactly where you need it

Three joints, three freedoms. Bring the shade close to the page, tilt it toward the ceiling for a soft, diffuse halo, or turn it to the wall to light without glare. The metal shade, white inside, concentrates its beam over 5 to 10 m². Enough to turn a spare corner of a living room into a reading nook, or the end of a desk into a proper workspace.

Ready to plug in, built in minutes

Standard E27 fitting, wired for 90 to 260 V to suit UK 230 V mains, with a rocker switch on the black cable, within easy reach. The bulb is not included, chosen to suit the mood: a warm white LED of around 7 W is more than enough for reading. Base, stem and arm click together on unboxing, no tools required. A table lamp version, 60 cm tall on a 15 cm base, carries the same arm for a desk or bedside table.
