A 72 cm corolla blooms overhead, made of petals the light passes straight through. This flower ceiling light keeps things light: the taut threads let the ceiling show through, and the central source draws a web of bright veins around it that shifts through the day.
A flower built thread by thread
A dozen petals, arranged over two tiers around a central hub. Each is a lacquered metal outline closed into a teardrop shape, strung with parallel PVC threads, fine and regular, like the ribs of a fan. The upper petals open into a corolla, the lower ones curl back toward the room, and every petal is gently twisted, caught mid-movement. The whole piece measures Ø72 cm across and 25 cm deep, in white or smoked black.
Mood lighting, not a spotlight
At the centre sits a single 48W integrated LED. Light passes through the threads, breaking into fine lines that cast a veined halo on the ceiling. Three modes are available depending on the version: warm white, dimmable intensity, or three colour temperatures. It is a soft light, suited to a 5 to 10 m² room, an entrance, bedroom, sitting-room corner or office. It dresses and warms a space rather than replacing the main light of a large living room, and it is worth saying so before you buy.
Two mountings, no bulb to source
The same flower is available as a flush ceiling light, sitting just 25 cm proud of the ceiling, or as a pendant, dropped on a single adjustable cable from a flat round rose. It wires directly to the existing ceiling point, with no visible plug or cord. The LED is integrated, so there is nothing to screw in and no bulb to replace. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains, with a structure in lacquered iron and PVC petals.
