A Japanese pendant light that softens the evening
Drawing on the shoji screens of tea houses, this Japanese pendant light hangs a small pavilion of wood and light from its cable. Lit, it gives off a gentle clarity, as if filtered through washi paper.
A solid pine pavilion
The frame is worked in solid Scots pine, with overhanging cornices top and bottom, like a small suspended piece of architecture. PVC panels with a sheepskin-effect texture dress all four sides in an even white veil. The lantern measures 22 x 22 cm for 30 cm in height, an intimate format suited to spaces of 3 to 10 m².
A filtered light, never harsh
The included bulb gives off warm white light: the four panels soften the glow while the lower diffuser drops a circle of light just beneath. In a hallway, above a dining corner or near a bedside, it settles a calm, considered atmosphere as the day fades.
A straightforward fit
E27 fitting, LED bulb included, rated for 90 to 260 V, which suits UK 230 V mains. The 100 cm cable adjusts to the height you need at the moment of fitting, and the lantern connects to a standard ceiling point.
