Hung above the worktop, it has the soft roundness of a stone smoothed by a river. Its sanded surface catches the morning light, and its notch lets a warm halo spill onto the wood below. This kitchen island pendant light brings the presence of a mineral object without the weight.

A sanded pebble, light as a shade

The shade measures 40cm across and 27cm tall, a low, wide silhouette that covers the worktop without overwhelming the room. It is moulded in high-density polystyrene, then finished with a fine-grain sanded paint: the look is stone, the weight stays that of an ordinary shade, which keeps fitting to the ceiling simple. The lower edge ripples gently and opens onto a wide, asymmetric notch that reveals a sand-coloured interior. Five finishes to choose from: white, black, light grey, speckled grey and speckled beige.

Light spills through the notch

The fitting sits at an angle, turned toward the opening: the beam falls diagonally onto the worktop rather than straight down. The sand-coloured interior reflects a warm, enveloping light. Depending on the option chosen, the included LED bulb gives warm white 3000K, cool white 6000K, or cycles through three colours by switching off and on again, with no remote needed. Allow 5 to 10 square metres per fitting, or hang two or three along a longer island.

Ready to fit, E27 socket

The pendant fixes with a round 10cm lacquered iron plate, screwed to the ceiling, which hides the electrical box. The cable can be shortened to the height you want, up to 1.50m. The fitting is a standard E27, the same as your other bulbs, and it runs on 90 to 260V, so it suits UK 230V mains. If you would rather keep your own bulbs, a without-bulb option is available on each of the five finishes.
