An outdoor wall light that grows across your facade after dark

As night falls, a large leaf stands out from the wall and lets an amber light filter through its cut edges. Linin is an outdoor wall light shaped like a full-size Monstera leaf, carried on the end of a stem. On a balcony, against a garden wall or beside a front door, the greenery seems to carry on where the light begins.

A leaf moulded down to the veins

The shade is a matt forest green resin and fibreglass leaf, moulded with a raised central vein, secondary veins and the deep slits that give the Monstera its character. It measures 34cm wide by 42cm tall. It sits on a green bamboo-effect stem, knots included, 60cm long, which passes through a small oval walnut-effect plate around 12 x 6cm and continues below to a clean-cut end. No visible cable, no junction box: from a distance, it reads as a plant that has grown against the wall.

The source sits hidden behind the leaf. It shines downward and lets threads of light escape through the cut-outs, casting a soft halo on the wall rather than a direct beam. Choose the tone at order: warm white for a late evening on the terrace, cool white for a path or passageway, or a three colour temperature setting if you would rather keep the choice open. It comfortably covers 3 to 5 square metres, working well as an accent or way-marking light beside a door, above a bench, or along a low wall.

Weatherproofing, mounting and wiring

This model carries an IP54 rating: it withstands water splashed from any direction, so ordinary rain is no issue. Fit it on a normally sheltered outdoor wall, ideally under an eave, awning or pergola in more exposed spots. The resin and fibreglass will not rust or warp in the sun. On the technical side: E27 fitting with bulb included, 90 to 260V, non-dimmable. Wiring connects behind the plate as with any standard outdoor light point; you will need an electrical supply at the wall, then two screws are enough to fix the plate. It also works well indoors, in a conservatory or bathroom.
