A wall light that lets a child switch off the day themselves

A lacquered metal globe, two small spheres perched on top like a pair of ears, and a light wood disc set flush against the wall. This wall light brings a child's bedroom a soft glow that turns off with a simple tug, without ever leaving the bed.

A matt lacquered globe and a light wood disc

The body is a matt lacquered iron globe measuring 18 cm, open beneath in a wide circular mouth painted gloss white inside. On top, two lacquered spheres of different sizes trace a round, friendly silhouette. The whole fixture rests on a light wood disc, Ø 10 cm, its grain left visible, connected to the globe by a short chrome metal arm. Total height is 21 cm. Six gentle colours are available: white, grey, pink, blue, sage green and yellow.

Adjustable light, warm or cool

A swivel joint lets the globe tilt: the light can drop onto a book, rise towards the ceiling, or angle towards the bedhead. The white interior focuses the beam downwards without glare. Depending on the option chosen, the supplied bulb gives a warm white of 2700 to 3500K, cosy for the evening, or a cool white of 5500 to 7000K, sharper for homework. The Without Bulb option lets you fit your own. It lights an area of 3 to 5 m², suited to a bedside, a reading corner or a landing.

Simple to fit, with the switch close at hand

Mounting is to the wall, wired directly into it: no cable trails down the wall. Switch models take a pull-cord chain under the wooden plate, so a child can turn the light on and off alone, without hunting for the room's switch. It suits mains voltage from 90 to 260V, so is wired for UK 230V mains. A single light source, not dimmer-compatible.
