A wall light that sits between lighting and sculpture
Some fixtures install and disappear. This one gets noticed. This wall light in matte resin takes the form of a sculpted face, about the height of an open hand, with two brass dots for eyes, and all its light escaping through the mouth.
A sculpted face, five characters
The shell is moulded in a single piece of matte resin, in a warm light grey with a mineral grain reminiscent of raw ceramic. It stands 22 cm tall and 16 to 18 cm wide depending on the face, and sits flat against the wall, with no arm or visible cable. Five designs make up the family: Helmet, Headband, Toque, Pebble and Earmuffs. Each shares the same brass eyes and oval cavity, only the headwear changes. Nothing stops you lining up several and letting them face each other.
Light that falls gently downward
The oval cavity tilts downward, so the beam never reaches the eyes, it slides along the wall in a golden halo instead. Inside, the matte ochre of the reflector warms the light further. Warm white suits a staircase, a hallway or a bedside, cool white a work corner or an entrance. The lit area covers around 3 to 5 m², enough to mark a passage without overwhelming the room.
Fitted once, wired anywhere
The 3W LED is integrated, nothing extra to buy, nothing to replace. It runs on 90 to 260V, suiting most mains supplies without an adapter. Wired for 90 to 260V, it suits UK 230V mains. The fixing is a flush wall mount, on a standard wired point, like any wall light. Brightness isn't adjustable, and it draws little enough power to leave on for whole evenings.
