A hand-moulded column, opened to its light

The body stands 63 cm tall and 18 cm across, a silhouette three and a half times taller than it is wide. It's hand-moulded from high-density polystyrene, then finished in a matte, sand-textured coat of soft ivory. Low on the front face, a single opening with torn edges reveals an ochre interior. Because each piece is shaped by hand, the edge of that opening and the grain of the surface vary slightly from one to the next, the signature of handwork rather than a flaw.

An ember rather than a ceiling light

Light escapes only through that opening, in a warm beam directed downward, while the rest of the body stays matte and dark. Choose the tone at checkout: warm white 3000K for an end-of-day mood, neutral white 4500K for a brighter light, cool white 6000K for a more graphic result, or the three-tone switchable version that cycles through all three at the flick of a switch, no remote needed. Allow 10 to 15 m² per unit as an accent light; it suits a tall living room or a stairwell well, and also works in twos or threes above a table.

Ready to hang on a standard fitting

The fixture connects to the ceiling and hangs on a cord adjustable up to 150 cm, set to the height you need when fitting it. The socket is a standard E27, and the LED bulb is included in the temperature you chose, nothing else to buy. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains. Brightness is fixed: this fixture does not work with a dimmer.
