A travertine wall light shaped like a half-moon

Set flat against the wall, this travertine wall light draws no more than an arc of stone, 15 centimetres wide. Come evening, light escapes from beneath it and washes the wall in a warm half-circle, like a small moon risen at shoulder height.

A dome of natural travertine

Each piece is a cap of natural travertine, the limestone whose vacuoles and fine strata tell of the quarry it came from. The grain stays visible, matt, gently irregular, and the lower edge is left raw-cut, true to a wabi-sabi reading that welcomes the accident of the material. It measures 15 cm wide by 7 cm high, small enough to sit above a bedside table without crowding the wall. The Natural Travertine finish keeps the stone's sandy beige. The Black Gold finish presents it in a dark tone, its gilded interior warming the beam.

Light that falls, never dazzles

The opening faces the floor. The source sits back behind its diffuser and returns only a mild halo on the wall, with no bright point in view. It is the light you want beside a bed, along a hallway, or above a reading nook: enough to find your way, never enough to wake you. Choose the tint at order, from warm white to cool white, or the Three Colour Temperatures version that gathers all three on the same fixture. It covers roughly 3 to 5 m², the scale of a bedroom corner or a landing.

Fitting and connection

The light fixes to the wall and wires to a standard outlet, run from the room's wall switch: no cord or plug shows in the maker's photographs. It takes a 5 W G4 bulb, included, and accepts 90 to 260 V, which suits UK 230 V mains. Brightness is fixed, not dimmable, and no housing shows past the stone.
