In the evening, you reach out and the arm unfolds in silence. This wall reading light settles a cone of ecru fabric above your book, then folds back against the wall once the room goes quiet. A low, warm light, built for one simple gesture.
A fabric cone carried on an articulated arm
The body is in matt black lacquered metal. A round 12 cm wall plate sits flush to the wall, and from its centre an arm with two joints extends up to 29.7 cm to reach exactly where you need it, then folds back to 2.5 cm from the wall. At the end, a woven linen-look fabric shade in a flared cone, 17.2 cm across at the base, 11 cm at the top, 15.8 cm tall. The weave keeps its irregular texture, threads thick enough to catch the light rather than bounce it flat. Four colours: ecru, grey, taupe and white.
A light that stays within arm's reach
The cone points the beam downward, in a tight halo over a page, a notebook or a worktop, without flooding the whole room or disturbing anyone sleeping nearby. Colour temperature is set at order: warm white, 2700 to 3500K, for a bedroom winding down, or cool white, 5500 to 7000K, for a desk that needs a sharper focus. The LED bulb is included. At the bedside, above a reading chair, in an entrance, or along a worktop, the same fitting simply changes job.
Plugs in, no electrician needed
Nothing to open in the wall. The fitting comes with a 160 cm cord ending in a plug, and its switch sits on the cord, within reach of the bed or the chair. The wall plate fixes with the fittings supplied, the fitting is a standard E27 socket you can re-equip later, and the supply runs on 90 to 260V. A single light source, built for a reading halo rather than whole-room lighting.
