A wood pendant light shaped like a drifting cloud

This wood pendant light takes the form of a suspended cloud, shaped from interlaced ribbons of veneer curled into a spiral. Its sculptural presence settles above a table or an island without ever weighing the room down, and once lit, it spreads a warm glow that invites you to slow down.

Ribbons of veneer, curled in a spiral

Three wide ribbons of natural wood veneer intertwine into a swirling spiral, with no stain and no visible frame. The underside of each curve, tapered to a point, reveals a caramel brown that contrasts with the blond veneer above. The cloud measures Ø 45 cm for a height of 22 cm, hiding the light source at its centre on a discreet metal fitting.

Filtered light, a settled mood

Once lit, the bulb casts a warm golden glow through the curves of the veneer, drawing soft shadow play across the ceiling and nearby walls. This light finds its place above a dining table, a kitchen island, in a sitting room, a hallway or an entrance, covering roughly 5 to 10 m² with mood lighting rather than a general light. It also works well in a row: two or three hung together above an island or a long table draw an elegant line of light.

A simple, reassuring installation

The pendant takes a standard E27 bulb (not included), up to 60 W, wired for 90 to 260 V. Wired for 90 to 260 V, it suits UK 230 V mains. A single bulb is enough to set the whole play of shadows in motion. The 150 cm black cable and its black ceiling rose make for a straightforward, uncomplicated fit.
