It doesn't reach for the ceiling. This wood tripod floor lamp raises a column of ecru fabric between three tapered legs, and the light climbs the surface the way it would inside a floor-standing lantern. Once evening comes, the corner of the sofa stops being a dark spot.
Three tapered legs, a column of fabric
Three wood legs narrow to a fine point and spread 29cm apart at the floor. They frame a column of ecru fabric, 17.5cm across and 85cm tall, open at the top to let a little light escape upward. The whole stands 128cm, bringing the shade roughly to shoulder height when seated. Two finishes are available, a deep walnut or a veined light wood, for two different moods in a room.
A diffused light rather than a glare
The fabric filters light along its full height and lays a soft halo on the wall, while the open top sends a discreet beam toward the ceiling. Choose the bulb at the time of order: warm white for the end of the day, cool white for reading, or three colour temperatures to move between the two. It suits a room of roughly 15 to 30 square metres, a sofa corner, a bedroom nook, or beside a desk.
Three screws, a plug, nothing more
The lamp arrives unassembled: the three legs fix onto their metal base plate, the shade sits on top, and it's ready. The E27 LED bulb is included. The black cord carries a foot switch, within reach of a slipper rather than a hand, and plugs into a standard socket rated 110 to 220V. No electrician, no drilling, no wall wiring required.
